School of Larks, a circus school based in Stroud and Nailsworth, offer highly skilled circus training normally only available in big cities. They run classes for adults, teenagers and children in a wide rang of circus disciplines including trapeze, aerial silks, juggling and tightrope walking. Learning circus skills can do wonders from coordination, strength, flexibility, control and self esteem and classes are friendly and inclusive. School of Larks will be running workshops with a range of activities on Saturday and Sunday in the Bank Gardens family area and their students will perform each afternoon. They will also host performances of ‘Las Vueltas de la Vida’ from Cirkofonic, an exciting new contemporary circus company, on Sunday outside St Laurences Church. Using circus, acrobatics and theatre to tell a tale of being lost in limbo between life and death, the normal and imaginary and the cycle of life.
